Heritage: Part veela

Family: Fleur's grandmother was a veela. Her father does not appear in the story, but she lives with her mother and her beloved sister Gabrielle, who is about nine years old.

First Mention: Goblet of Fire, chapter 16

General: Fleur was a student at Beauxbatons Academy. In her final year, 1994-1995, she was part of the delegation to the Triwizard Tournament. She spent much of the school year living in Madame Maxime's coach and eating in the Hogwarts Hall. On Halloween the Goblet of Fire chose Fleur as the Beauxbatons contender for the Tournament. Although Fleur never hid the fact she entered the Tournament to gain admiration, she competed bravely and honorably throughout. And although she can be unpleasant to people she doesn't know, Fleur is willing to change her mind, as she did about Harry Potter.
